Since 1995

Bristol started back in 1995 when my dad launched a small boat cleaning business right here in Holland, Michigan. He named it Bristol and began working out of Eldean Shipyard, bringing on close friends who shared his work ethic and eye for detail. Together, they built a reputation for quality and care that stood out on the docks.

Over the years, the craft was passed down—first to my cousin Elliot, then to Sam, then Ollie, and now, finally, to me. What began as my dad’s hustle has become something more: a family tradition, rooted in excellence and built to last.

At Bristol, quality isn’t just something we aim for—it’s what we were built on. It’s been passed down through every wash, wax, and detail job since day one. Quality is our legacy.

Now it’s my turn to carry that forward. I’m working to keep what made Bristol great and build on it—staying true to how it started, but pushing it to the next level.

Our Team

  • Gavin Gibson

    Gavin is 18 and recently graduated from Zeeland High School, where he was a member of the school’s top choir. He enjoys listening to music and is currently looking to start a plumbing apprenticeship this summer. He’s saving up for a house and his future career.

  • Charlie March-Gibson

    Charlie just graduated from high school and is headed to Purdue University in the fall to study finance. He enjoyed serving as a section leader in the Royalairs, one of the top show choirs in the country, and also enjoyed competing in wrestling during high school. He’s currently saving for college tuition and maxing out his Roth IRA.

  • Drew Byrum

    Drew is heading into his sophomore year at Purdue University, where he’s studying mechanical engineering. He’s passionate about weightlifting and is actively involved in his church. He’s currently saving up for a new car and future travel.
